I used to love wearing falsies for special occasions and going out, especially for in photos. For a while, I was finding that falsies were looking, well, a little too false. With the newest lash craze, I decided to try a few of the most popular, natural & soft lashes. This brings me to the Mac 35 lashes. They are spuradic & whispy, yet long and noticeable (in a natural way). I just applied a little bit of lash glue and let dry for about 30 seconds until tacky. I then apply close to the lash line for a natural look. I didn't use eyeshadow today, but if you decide to I recommend applying that first. These particular lashes can be used up to 15 times if properly cared for. At $17 a pair, I would highly recommend these lashes.
As you most may know, I am a professional hairstylist. As a stylist, a rarely ever try anything but professional styling product unless I'm in a complete rut, which brings me to this product. It was after an intense workout, and I was at the grocery store grabbing some things when I decided to grab this Pantene Dry Shampoo. I've used many different dry shampoos, my favorites being Pureology Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo and TIGI Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo. I have to honestly say this $3.99 product that can be found at most drug and grocery stores served it's purpose more than well. I took photos step by step for the proper application for the best results. FIRST- I shake the can well and section my hair around the front and in the crown and apply the product from roots to midshaft. SECOND- I let the product sit for a couple minutes to soak in. I then use my fingers to gently massage it into my scalp as if I were actually shampooing my hair. THIRD- I use a natural bristle paddle brush to thoroughly brush through my hair until the white tinge from the powder is gone. I received a lot of volume from this product and my hair looked great after. My main complaint is that the smell is a little strong and smells a bit on the alcohol side. In the future, I would probably use one of my professional products but for the budget conscious or for someone wants a product for occasional use, this one works pretty well for the price!

I'm always seeing these beautiful combinations on pinterest and decided to splurge on some Mac lip products. Today's review is on a beautiful combination using Mac Heroine Lipstick and Mac Nightmoth lip liner. I basically lined my lips and shadowed the corners of my lips for an ombre appearance. The Heroine Lipstick has a rich, bright purple pigment and a smooth, creamy application that seriously lasts all day. This lipstick and lip liner retails for about $16 and can be found in any Mac Cosmetics store or Nordstroms. Well worth every single penny!!
So I am going to start this post by saying, I don't particularly like wearing eyeshadow on myself. However, as a makeup artist, eyeshadow is one of the most important parts of a makeup application. With that being said, this past Christmas, my husband had purchased this Urban Decay Vice 3 eyeshadow pallet. It comes with 20 shades, almost all of which are very practical. There are 11 neutral shades (browns, nudes, toupes, darks), two green shades, 4 red tones (peach, pink, reds), and a violet and copper tone. 7 are matte and the rest have a shimmer to them. The pallet also comes with a double ended brush which is perfect for application and blending and a great storage case. I highly recommend this pallet for those who use eyeshadow everyday or for someone who enjoys or does makeup professionally. It runs about $60 and can be found at Ulta or Sephora. This pallet is a limited edition series. In summary, I am obsessed with this pallet. I love the smooth texture and ability to blend, and I love the pigmentation of the shades. I highly recommend!
